Open Show Report

We are very pleased to report that our first open show on the new club field was a massive success.

It took a final big push to get everything ready for the show but the hard work certainly paid off - So a big thank you to all our members that came along a helped with getting the field ready and painting the jumps !

We would also like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Jan Blockley of the Village Store in Thurcroft who very kindly donated all the paints for the show jumps.

We took record entries, which was a much needed boost following our moving costs. The feedback from our competitors was great, everyone had a good day which I am sure was helped by the lovely sunshine.

Brian was our resident photographer on the day and all pictures are available on his website.

Help needed with Car Parking !

We are looking for some willing volunteers to come along and help with car parking on show days, to ensure that people are parking sensibly.

Please if you can help do get in touch even if it is only for a couple of hours, it would be appreciated.

Companion Dog Show - 25th May

At the next members show we will also be having a companion dog show to help raise funds for RAIN Rescue.

They do a fantastic job of helping needy dogs in our local area. For more details on RAIN and what they do visit their website.

The Easter Sunday Show was a great day despite the snow, this followed the showing clinic that has been run the weekend before.

The New Club Field !!

The new show field is in a great location, situated about 1 mile from Tickhill Arena.
We have been offered the use of this field by very kind permission of Christina Wood - We are very grateful to Christina for generosity in lending the use of her land.

The paddock offers us a flat show ground that we have unique use of. The field has good access and has a drainage system which will be good news if the British summer lets us down. !

There is some red tape to sort out at the moment which means that we wont have our entry cabin on there just yet as we need to obtain permission from the council for this.

In the meantime we will use a marquee that we will take down at the end of the shows.

A map location for the new field is here
